Dr Gareth Nobbs qualified as a medical doctor in 2006. After completing two years of internship at Helen Joseph and Rahima Moosa hospitals, he spent a year at Leratong Hospital for his community service. This year was spent in anaesthesia and ICU, inspiring the decision to specialise further in anaesthesia. Completing his specialist training four years later, he spent a further two years as a consultant at Charlotte Maxeke academic hospital. He has been in full time private practice since 2015.
